Ok, the nutrition bar is to the Hunger bar, what the hunger bar is to the health bar.
When the nutrition bar is close to full, it slowly regenerates the hunger bar. When it is close to empty, is slowly depletes the hunger bar.
The nutrition bar slowly depletes, probably over multiple minecraft days, and can only be replenished by a 'full meal.'
Full meals are described as meals that are complicated to create, then are placed in the world like blocks, and eaten by right clicking on them. Current examples are: CAKE!
However, we should make more.
(This may seem like a silly thing to add to the mod, but it does several things. It allows new players to live a little longer before hunger kills them. It allows more forgiving exploration. It gives players who like to cook, and perhaps 'own' a restauraunt a benefit to doing so. It gives players a place, restauraunt or inn, where they can converge and 'eat.')

This will even encourage team work (or kingdom work) even more What about a system of customizeable meals And also add professions in phase 3, different from skills, that a player can choose 1 main profession and 1 demi-profession, stick with it and level it up!

Yes, phase 3 will have food style skills, however players won't be limited in the number of skills and abilities they can get, and most skills won't have a level associated. It will just be a skill that you either know, or don't know. More like talents in a skill tree.
I never liked leveling up skills. So for example, there might be 'Chef" and in that branch you could learn certain skills, but then you could upgrade to 'Master Chef' and learn more skills, but you wouldn't have "Chef, skill level 20".

'Master Chef' if we don't make a pun out of this we are missing a gold mine.

Serious message though. Is hydration gonna be it's own bar or part of nutrition?

I was thinking that hydration would just be kind of wrapped up in with nutrition. Adding a different type of hunger bar just seems like it would be sort of tedious. With the Nutrition bar, we have a new layer on the eating/health system, that's different, and brings something tangible to the game.
What would having a separate hydration bar bring to the game that would actually be fun for the players?

Ok, so a couple things with this:
One, all 'meals', food like cake, can only be placed within a kingdom zone. The Nutrition bar I was thinking should be a white, lightly glowing bar over the hunger bar. It should replenish your hunger slowly if you're not in the middle of sprinting or combat as long as it's 50% or more. It should take, say, 5 minecraft days to deplete. Regular hunger bar should be changed so you regen health as long at it's over 50%.
Unless anyone has any comments about the above, I'm moving this to Currently Working so it can start being coded.
I'll start the 'meal' recipes topic in a little bit, so we can come up with some cool 'meal' recipes.

the nutrition bar seems like the derivative of the hunger bar which is the derivative of the health bar xD
