How about stone wood and iron?Iron shows you know what you're doing and its not really hard to get even with the one stacking ores we wanna put in.

Iron will not be easy at all to get in the beginning. It's going to require multiple tools, multiple machines. I'm not really against that, but if we do that, people will have unsafe homes for a little while in the beginning.
That's not necessarily bad, since it gives an added danger to make sure you pick your starting zone wisely, to hide from roving bandits.

I'm thinking of rendering the kingblock as 2 parts, the lower part will be a solid block with the texture similar to the one killwithkostja posted, and the upper part will be a floating crown.

I like that. But what if the top, floating part had different kinds of images that sort of evolve depending on the number of people in your kingdom? Like it starts off as a hut, for example, then changes to, say a tribal hat when you have 10 people, and a throne when you have 20, and perhaps a crown when you have 50.
Something like that?

Ok, problem:
Right now, each deed can only be placed 10 away from another deed block per player in the kingdom, but each deed block gives you a 20x20x20 cube per person.
Shouldn't we change it so you can only build within 40 blocks of a deed block per person in the kingdom?
