I think different kinds of catapult ball is great. Agree!

I think some of this was discussed before, but I'm not sure.
But these are all good ideas, but for phase 2. In phase 1, we just want working siege engines, with one kind of ammo.
The only reason we have siege engines in phase 1 at all, is because you need them to break down kingdom zones.

sounds great! here is my siegweapon. If dontremb likes it that way i will upload it on dropbox so the code can use it. Maybe we should use some other textures.

The catapult "arm" and the place to hold the ball looks small to me, opposite to the whole machine, also i suggest using blender since we'll be able to add detailed parts like the handle where you trigger the launch or the rope/coil that is used to give the force to the ball

As for blender, that will be up to you guys, graphic artists and programmers.
As for the size, it's actually right on point. Take a look at any actual catapult. It has to be like this. The 'bowl' has to be proportionally much smaller than the base, because the base has to provide enough leverage to launch the cannon ball. Otherwise it will topple.
If anything, the arm and bowl are actually too large, in proportion to the machine, however, I think it's good. If we made it TOO realistic, it would look really small.

I'd love to see the catapult with the straining rope and the spring in it Aside from the size, which i have no more comments now, it looks illogical how that catapult shoots, like, it should have a rock on the other side of the arm or some kind of spring to pull it up

Those are much bigger, and we'll definitely have those in phase 2. A Catapult uses twisted rope to store tension, and gears to slowly crank them, and build up the tension.

Kostja, can you make a model for a balista too? Will, Steffen, Chris, what additional information will you need to start coding prototypes of these? Balista are stationery, and used for defense, so don't need wheels or anything. If you don't need anything more to start the coding, let me know, and I'll move this to currently working.

hey, what you should do is make a special lock for items or make a creator/kingdom/town only lock or gui (almost like planet side 2) were you can open a gui to make it open to world, open to you only, open to town/kingdom, etc. .... and what would happen if you go offline while you're on it, or what if you leave, would someone else be able to steal it? or could you make a skill to where you could possibly hijack it, or what if someone attacked it, and it broke? or could they brake it? and would it have enough health? i think it should have extra seats or something so if you go attacked, someone could fight back...

Ok, I'm not sure what all that meant, but here goes.
In phase two, there will be locks. But they will have keys, or be combination locks. There won't be a way to make them only work for you, or your kingdom.
In phase 3 there will be skills that allow you pick locks, yes.
Siege weapons will have hit points, and they can be broken. I could be hijacked, but normal siege engines don't have seats at all, they must be pushed/pulled along.
In phase 2 or 3, we might work on creating upgrades to the siege weapons, but we'll have to see.
